How can you not want to see a town called Calabash? It was one of my first stops after moving here, and I freely admit it was all about the name and old black-and-white television film of Jimmy Durante. Right on the border of North and South Carolina, the area does not disappoint. Beautiful beaches and marinas, a seaport and some of the best seafood eating on the east coast. And no, it's not named for Mrs. Calabash (in spite of what some might have you think). It's named for local gourds that grow in the area. Property deals are amazing here! You will love the beach area, the shopping, the proximity to Myrtle Beach and on the west side of Route 17 are wonderful communities (both with golf and without) where you can buy a lovely home in the $200,000-$300,000 price range and live like a king. Ask us about Calabash. It's not to be missed!
Thanks for listening!
